I'd like to install a fuel filter
My QL 1000 has had the gas tank replaced with the one shown in the picture below, by the previous owner. There is a petcock, but no fuel filter or sediment bowl, screen, etc.
I'm thinking that I should have some kind of filter, possibly an in-line one, if nothing else. Does anyone have any suggestions about what would be the best set-up for this tank? Thanks, Josh P

Interesting....I dont think Ive seen a set-up like that before, but I guess if it works
 I would probably put a inline filter between the down turned 90 deg fitting pictured and the carb. Any decent, universal 1/4 small engine fuel filter should work fine. Cut out a section of the fuel line, and splice in the filter...5 min job  Now, if you want to bring it back to stock, and put the correct tank on, I happen to have one from a 1250 that will fit if your interested  Jeff (teet)

Note: Fuel Filters are of different types. You will need one that is rated for "Gravity Feed".
