Muffler crutch from Kirk Engines
The "muffler crutch" support bracket about 2/3 of the way down the kirkengine page looks like a good idea. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it works.
I also like the looks of their Quietline side cover knobs, to replace the wingnuts. http://www.kirkengines.com/ Josh P

I built my own "muffler crutch" with the same design as Kirk's and it works GOOD.

I also made one for the K321 I installed in my 682. It should keep the muffler box from breaking again.

Thanks guys. Glad to know it works. I'll probably get mine from kirks, along with a few other items on the site, like allen head screws for the points cover, side panel knobs, and maybe a new plug wire.
