looking at these pictures. field "F" is on top, battery "B" is in the middle, load "L" is on the bottom and generator "G" is the one on the back. am i correct on this? i followed the diagram on the 70/100, but now i am second guessing myself on position of the VR on the diagram versus the actual position on the tractor.
thanks, jeff

The post or terminal orientation on the V/R may differ than that of the diagram. The important thng is, to make sure the proper wires goes to the correct labeled terminal.

oh that's just great!!! that's probably why it ain't running. i pulled the VR off and sanded all the contact points. i looked on the back of the VR and i didn't see any labels or markings. that's why i was asking about the diagram versus the actual VR. i really do hate the learning process, due to my lack of patience, but i guess i have to start somewhere, right? thanks, jeff

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
