What's a #2 IH cart worth?

Congrats on the new addition. Dad had one I used some back in the day, if I only knew then what I know now. Would it be wrong to line-x the inside if it was going to be used instead of show?

I plan to have the entire thing sand blasted after taking it apart, then straighten the bent parts and fix as many of the dents as I can, and get some new decals and tires for it. I think the line-x would be a good idea, but probably a little more $ than I want to invest in it. I have used a product in the past called raptor liner, it is similar to line-x, in fact, I have some left from my last project, since you mentioned it, I think I will do the inside of the trailer with it. There is no way I can straighten the floor, it has many, many dents, it apartently was a work horse over the course of its life! I want the trailer to look nice, but would like to use it when I want.

Oh, thanks for all the comments guys, I am very happy that I finally stumbled into a great deal on a cub accessory! No worries, I will happily post some before and after pics of the trailer when I get it redone, probably late summer or fall before I get to it, I need to finish the tractor first! I have been amassing all kinds of accessories for the tractor, wanting to get it done so I can play with them.

Looks great. I did my dad's cart probably 3 or 4 years ago with Rhino liner and it has held up great, and it gets pounded. Can't wait to see it after you get her fixed up. By the way yo ugot a great deal on it.

That is certainly a great deal! I've been scouring CL for IH items and they are far and few between. You mind me asking where at in Missouri you found that cart? Just curious.

I have seen a couple of them for sale on CL locally for much more, and they seem to go fast. The ads are there one day and gone the next.

Was listed in KCMO CL ad, was actually located near Bates City, MO...I guess I actually have a bit more in it, had to drive a little over 100 miles to go after it. I have actually seen a lot of good stuff go cheap on there, but I am over 100 miles from the KC metro area, the locals usually get all the very good deals, I am too far off to get there quick enough! I saw a mint looking #2 tiller with the lift arms, gear box, and drive belt listed for $125 about 2 months ago...of course I wasn't quick enough, or it would be in my shed.

Where are you located cubcadette, if you don't mind me asking. I see a few folks on here from MO, but none close enough for me to go to there house and harrass! jk

Your tractor is in one piece, mine is not going to pull anything, it is in about a thousand pieces, in the middle of my rebuild. I have been getting all these attachments and can't even play with them!

Does your cart have the orginal tires on it? As far as I can tell I think mine has one original on it, it is a goodyear and the size is 4.30-8...I might be about half blind, does this match up to what's on your cart? It may actually be a 4.80-8, but really looks like a 3 instead of an 8...maybe I ought to look at the inside of the tire and see if it is more legible.
