Default Greetings from Joisey!

Howdy all! Finally signed up for this forum due to frequent references from JaysNJcub127. Got started with an interest in Cubs when I picked up a 125 basket case in 2003 after losing my unborn son. I took the 125 from a basket case to a fully functional machine that summer. It was "therapy" of sorts, but that 125 introduced me to what a fine product IH had produced. I picked up a 73 a few years back, got the engine back in running shape but didn't do much with it. JaysNJcub127 is now the owner of that little 73. I'm glad it went into fine hands. I have a small, repair side business that allows me to play with all sorts of machinery so maybe I can provide some assistance when needed. Now all I need is a Cubbie again to be a true member here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
