Default Cub Cadet 1215 Wiring Diagram
I am having an issue starting my Cub 1215, battery is good, fuse is good. I turn on the ignition key and everything is dead. No lights on the dash and no headlights, nothing. What could it be? Bad ignition switch, sellinoid, relay? Please help.

Here is the flow..

Battery---> Fuse----> Amp Gauge-----> Ignition Sw-----> Neutral Sw-------> PTO Sw-------> Starter Solenoid.

I started it the other day, drove it a short distance, flipped on the PTO switch and nothing happened. I turned off the motor, looked around under the hood, seen nothing. After that I went to start the unit again and nothing happened at all. No lights, no nothing.
What could my problem be?

From the flow chart above....did you check the fuse...??

Fuse is good, and I have power to one side of the amp gauge. Should I have power to the second side of the amp gauge?

If the Amp Gauge is good, then power should go through it.

I got it... jumped the Amp gauge and it started right up. PTO switch must be shot as well, I have to hold it in the start position to keep the blades running.

Don't jump to the conclusion that the PTO switch is bad. There can be other components that can be bad, that cause the same condition.

It is all working well. Thanks for your help. Last question, can I just keep the jumper wire on the Amp gauge to run it till I get a new gauge?

YES...you can leave the jumper on there permanently if you don't care to have an Amp Gauge.
