Default Makeshift grill for the 122
Spent the day working on the 122, trying to get it looking and working good. I manufactured some of the mower deck parts and have posted pics in the implements section of the forum... After I got that done, I decided I was tired of the great gaping hole that should be a grill and panel. I had a mesh kick-panel from an unused screen door and some .016 embossed aluminum and got busy. They say, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Well, here it is, hope it helps others who need to fill that hole...

Would be pretty simple to paint that upper black and add headlights, and it woudl look pretty stock at that point to someone who didn't know cubs. Sure looks better than a gaping hole!

The grill looks great. That gives me something to look out for to make a grill for my 126.

I may add an inside screen with a smaller mesh pattern and paint it black. I'm considering painting the upper plate the same as the original grille plates were.

Tool Maker - The kick panel I used came from the local hardware store. Too bad I don't live in VA, I'd let you have the rest of mine.
