Football donations
I went to "my" hardware store to pick up stuff I need and they have. At the front door there was a dad(?) and two boys about 10-12 years old. There were wearing their football jerseys and had their donation cans. They asked if I wanted to donate to their football fund. I said can you tell me two countries that border the United States.
I don't have a problem with sports but school should come first and I wanted to know if these boys had paid any attention in class. They said um .... oh I know one one boy said. Brazil! I shook my head and gave them a buck because they were brave enough to ask. I looked over at dad and said teach them. On my way out they said I know and were a bit excited. Ok I said what are they. They said Canada and South America! I told them Canada and Mexico. They sorta gave dad a hard time because he was the one that gave them the answer. These kids better get use to asking for hand outs. They are being prepared for little else.
