william1041200... The disengagement arm was on it when I got this "FREE" tractor a couple years ago. I assumed it was original but maybe not. You guys would know better than this IH Cub Cadet rookie. It is definitely plenty beefy for the job it's doing.

Great!!, I am glad to hear you got it figured out. I'll not be putting those springs in mine either, LOL. All they do is keep the disc from rattling while the motor is running. I don't mind the rattle.

Here's a couple pictures of the almost finished product. When the grass stops growing so fast this summer, I'm going to take the mower deck apart, get it sand blasted then get after it with the paint sprayer.

I really wish I could find the pics of the 107 I used to own. A dealership way up in NE Ohio had taken it in on a trade from the original owner and had completely refurb'd it. I probably paid too much for it at the time, but wow it was a cream puff. Your 106 reminds me of it. My UPS guy liked it so much he wouldn't leave me alone till I ended up selling it to him. why did I do that? LOL
