Default New guy from Michigan.

Hello, everyone. Looks like great site. I recently sold my 149 to get an 1872 with 60" deck. Im getting all the kinks out of it and is running and mowing great now. I also have a 147 with deck and blower. Its a good ole cub. I have always had charging or starting problems with it though. I must have had 4 starter gens on it. I keep buying junk ones of ebay I guess. Would of been better off getting the new one.

Im really enjoying the site! Thanks!

Thanks Everyone!

DX3, I'll take some pictures. Right now both machines are just work machines. Nothing show on them, lol. But I do want to strip the 147 down and paint it up and go through everything. Im kinda in the middle of looking for a house and selling mine but as soon as I get a pole barn that is going in there after I put my Attex 6x6 back together. For now though I just added my 1872 as an avatar.

CaptMax, Just scanning through there forums there seems to be a few different Michigan Members. Thats cool! Glad to meet you!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
