Removing an electric clutch
Can anyone tell me how to remove an electric clutch from an LT1042 (2008)?
If I remove the main bolt that runs up through the center, will the clutch simply drop down? Also, is that main bolt reverse threaded? Hopefully, someone can help me out. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you disconnect the electrical connector of the PTO before trying to remove. Then yes remove the center bolt and it will drop straight down. Look before removing how the PTO is oriented. There is usually a tang on the PTO that sits between a couple of blocks to keep the PTO from twisting when it is engaged. When re installing orient it back in the same position and install the center bolt and re connect the wiring connector. They are actually pretty easy to take off and put back on. All of the ones I have removed have been regular type threads. Not reversed.
