I've tried before to ask, but there were no replies. I picked up this cab this summer and it looks to be a cub windbreaker hard cab but the back doesn't seam to be correct. It seems like the slant goes to far but the way that its built it looks all factory. Do any of you have pictures of your cab and how it mounts to the back? I need help on this.

That looks a bit like a Sims cab. You are probably missing a couple pieces that bolt to the fenders.

here is what I have pic wise. My cab was for a standard not a super but works fine on the super. They fit the fender/seat pan not the tractor which is the same as the standard Gts.
![]() ![]() 4 1/4" holes need to be drilled in fenders. 2 each side. ![]() Factory bolts fender to battery tray, ![]() ![]() ![]() L brackets go on top of foot rests with longer bolts through front factory holes for foot boards. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The metal support straps for the canvas may need a little "shaping" for your tractor. They share the out bolts with the L brackets above. May be above or below the foot boards depending on your tractor. I had to trim my right hand brake pedal as my cab was made for tractors without steering brakes. ![]() ![]() My right hand door is a little bent. original owner must have bumped something going forward with the door open and bent the wire frame slightly. ![]() Pretty much the whole thing is held together with 1/4" x 3/4" bolts with washers. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the pics guys. I know its not the Sims though. I'm pretty positive its the IH one but I just don't understand the back. The sheet medal on the back is all one piece bent into that angle so that's why it has me stumped. If it was added on I wouldn't question it at all. Were these made for narrow frames at all? Does anyone have a pic of one mounted on a wideframe/quietline?

Nick:
To the best of my knowledge, IH "never" made a all metal Cab for their Cubs. The all metal cabs were made by Sims or Cozy Cab. IH did make a "windbreaker" ( or soft cab ) for both the NF & WF Cubs.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
