The 1000 series is no diferance from a dealer or from the big box stores. The 2500 series no differance. Its not till you get in to the 3000 series do you get the better quality. Same with zero turns. rzt at a dealer is the same as one from a big box store. But you buy a z force, the bottom of comercial, top of home owner, with a fab deck, not a stamped deck do you see a differance.

So in saying this, do you think that the big box store needs your money, unlike your dealer that lives in you area? Ill bet if you have a problem with it the big box store cant fix it. Ill bet if you have a problem whit your mower that you bought from the dealer and you have a problem, youll get pushed to the front of the line before the big box store customer dose.

Id buy from your dealer. You would be surprised how much money hes really making on a 1000 series tractor. Ill tell you this, the money hes making off it, wont fill my pick up truck full of fuel.

If I were buying a new mower today Id get Kohler, Kaw, or Honda. I wouldnt buy a briggs for a dollar.

Oh and I was shocked on much we would make on a stihl chain saw.

Youll be fine. When you cut the pasture, just be sure when your done to check the fan on the top of the rear and clean the trash out of the belt drive. That deck wont tae much abuse, they are easy to bend. Keep the spindels greased, if it even has zerks on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
