I have Carlisle Tru Powers 6-12's. This weekend I should have them back, and mounted. August 21 I plan to meet up with Buckeye pullers and give my new ag tires something to bite on! I'am thinking 3 rib for the front wheels.

The front tires interchange easily, so on turf I will sometimes run the tri-ribs (narrow set) for ease of steering and in the winter, I can change them out for front ags (narrow set) as needed. Rear ags are great too on turf and snow, but in the ice this last year the chained turfs seem to bite a little more. So it kind of depends on your application. Unfortunately, the rear tires do not change as easily as the front tires. Also, Martin Tire (formerly Miller Tire) sells the 10.5 Carlisle ags for $1 more than the 8.5 Carlisle ags....just be careful on the surface area of the tire to the ground. In other words, putting 10.5 ags on the smaller rims, though makes for an interesting look, actually allows for more slipping as the surface area of the tire to the ground becomes more rounded. Others may have varying opinions, and that's okay, these are just based on my personal experience. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the fast replys guys!
![]() I have been entertaining the thought of having the firestone 23* ags and tri ribs just for the fun of it on my 1450. But i also like the look of ags on the front. So this is why i asked for opinions. The only down side that i can see with running the firestone ribs is the middle rib appears to be way taller than the other two. Is there a way to cut it down some? or just lower the psi in the tires to even it out? The 1450 is going to be my 3 pt duty tractor and serve as a back up mower so turning is key to the fronts as i will run the 23* ags on the rear. I love my tru powers but want something special for the 1450 as it will be my second restoration project. Thanks guys and keep the opinions coming! ACecil cant wait to see what you will be adding to the 100!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
