IH 244 3 cyl 4wd
Guys, looking at a IH 244 with Woods 60 inch belly mower. Owner wants $5500 for the tractor and some more for the mower deck Seems a little high? The tractor seems to be in good working order. Minor oil leak, front tires show some dry rot. rear lights not connected. switch does not shut tractor off, 2000 hours.
I was thinking $4500 for the whole package. He just got rid of some Cubs before I got there too  Suggestions? Comments welcome. Regards, Chris

I used to have a 234 diesel that was a hydro. I think it was a tad smaller than a 244. Mine was only a two wheel drive. It had rear PTO, Cat 1 three point and ran like a top. Turf tires all the way around. Also had a Woods 60 inch deck and 1200 hours. I ended up trading it to a CC dealer for a new zeroturn. They put it on the lot for $4000 and it was gone in less than a week. It was a super nice tractor, all original, and in great shape. I really hated to get rid of it, but couldn't justify it sittin' around. All depends on area and condition, but sounds a wee bit high IMHO. Good luck.

My 234 I had was a twin to Tom's except Tom's is a gear drive and mine was a hydro. Tom's would be a great deal. Good luck.
