mrcubcadet......that would look great in your collection!!! See if you can score it this year if it is up there!!!
I saw that one last year, too. Certainly a great piece of engineering work and looks like you snapped a really nice pic of it. Cub Cadet 123

I was delayed this year and didn't make it to the show until about noon on Saturday, so I didn't snap a whole lot of shots but these two caught my eye. Hope you enjoy these unique works of engineering......an articulated red one and a "hi-boy" original.

What's the scoop with that high-boy original? I'm guessing it's a custom job, but what's it emulating, or what's it purposed for?

I was told that it was for high crop rows....spraying crops that have already grown would be my best guess, but I'm not for sure. Anyone chime in if they can field this question...

High crop tractors have always been rare when compared with more conventional designs. For antique tractor collectors, high crop models often command very high prices due to their low production volume.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
