OK, so I was lucky enough to find a complete headlight setup for my cub original. I have found the installation page on where to drill the holes for the brackets and where the wiring hooks up to the regulator, etc. I didn't know if somebody could post a pic of the routing of the wiring thru the engine compartment, and where to ground the lights at the headlight bracket. In the install page it says to ground the headlights to the upper bolt of the headlight bracket. I tried to find a good picture of both of these online, but was unsuccessful. Your pics would be greatly appreciated. I have some pics hopefully later on today once I make some progress. Thanks

The headlight ground wire can be attached to "any" bare metal bolt.

I hate to bring up an old thread. Can anyone with an "O" with headlights post some pics of the headlight wiring harness around the engine. I have routed my wiring but i dont think it is is the correct location. I tried to go off the wiring diagram that R Bedell posted but a picture is worth a thousand words. thanks in advance.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
