Just want to past this along. I had posted my cubs for sale on craigslist now I'am getting email masages to post on other sites from different people. The people that respond want me to give them my pay pal account(which I don't have) so they can buy the cubs, they will not give me a phone number or even contact me in any other way. Sounds like a scam to me! What do you guys think.

Sounds like a scam. If you get cryptic emails that sound funny and too good to be true, they are. I agree, if they are interested, they can call you or leave a call back number. Those wanting accounts or "I'll send you a check for $2000 more than your asking price........................." are scammers.

I only will post my phone number, no email. You are getting scam mail. Also post your number on there like this. 8 seven 9 - six three 2 - zero 876.
An actual person has to decode it. Or at least it seems to help on my part.

I'm sure it's a scam of some sort, but I wonder what their angle is? By asking for your paypal info, all they're really asking for is an email address.
So I guess it must be just to put you on a spam list. Seems like a lot of work to get email addresses. Anyway, you obviously don't want to use your own email address in a CL post. People can send you questions and such via the CL email address that forwards to your box. Then if you're going to respond, be aware that you're responding with your own email address in the "from" line, so I always try to be sure it looks like a legitimate inquiry. I'm not too keen on posting my phone number up front. |

I never put my phone number and carefully pick who I email back. I have the thing set so when they reply to my ad it gives them a random craigslist email address until you reply back, then they get yours. They are getting smarter. I think they want my number. Sometimes it will say "I am interested in the (title of listing pasted). Please give me your number." Or "text me at XXXXX" And if you hit reply to email watch the To: part. If it is different then the address it was sent to you from its for sure a scam. I have had some that have to be a person. Even ask some question like the condition or something. But it was say something like "thanks Bob", and their email will be something like bob343@XXX but then you reply and look at the To: part it will be something like Sarah68577@XXX. I see some people put something in there listing like put XXXX in the title so I know its not a spammer. Never tried that and not sure if that works.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
