The 73 is one I would like to add to my collection. The CC I grew up on went to my brother and he sold it. I wish I never let it go but I was young and didn't know this would become a hobby later in life.

Do memories have a price?
As stated - you'd regret it one day if you sold it. ![]() My parents retired to Wisconsin. Back in the 60's I mowed a lawn for a neighbor of theirs on the weekends. Don't remember the model but it was yellow & a cadet. My Father asked me why I used to use it to cut our lawn? He had a crapsman. NIK,

edc_1110: If you're lucky, your daughter's SON will treat the tractor just like you did and HIS son will restore it one day.
![]() Also, involving your daughter in the restore would be a good experience. The trick to involving a teenager is letting them determine the level of their participation. Enjoy and good luck. Jeremiah |

The 73 is one of the more rare cubs-as far as production numbers and the last of the narrow frame economy line. It's only worth a couple hundred at most now, but your memories are priceless and by what you wrote, someone else in your family already likes it. I think your question was rhetorical in the sense that you already know the answer to it. There are many things in this world that catch your eye....but only a few that will ever catch your heart, and those are the things worth pursuing!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
