Had my share of them all....

Hard to beat a Diff Lock and Dual Hyd setup...

A front end that allows you to keep your deck on and use another attachment up front...keeping the mule drive intact...

But money talks and the they (JD) walked since they bring the big money....

I still have my SUPER...and she works for her keep...

A man has to do what a man has to do....

I could see this coming a mile away. In your post about the power point hitch there is a yellow rim glaring at us in the background, and the hitch is sitting on a john deere box....

Seriously, if I could get one of my poppop's tractors to restore and keep, I do it no matter the color.

Bill

Varts, Nothing wrong with that! JD is a great garden tractor. Its plain to see, that if JD were to survive IH domination, that JD would have to go where IH didn't in the garden tractor features. I'd like to have the JD 140 H3 if I were to pursue JD brand garden tractors. I happen to pass on a JD 214 last summer with JD dozer blade for like 2 or 3 hundred bucks.

Hope you get another IH/CCC/MTD Cub Cadet again and come on back!

Once the snow stops I'll go over to their house and pick it up. Its currently being used to plow their driveway. I'll take some pictures then.

I already bought the sleeve hitch for it. Now I just need some more attachments

Same as me...Dad was an IH employee for 31 years, and my first full-time job after high school was as an A&H mechanic (Assembler & Handler) at the local IH dealer. Red/yellow/white paint fed & housed me for my first 20 years.

It still seems freaky to me to see "Case" on a red tractor..... but I'll ponder that another time.

Grandpa kept the deere til he died. He passed away bout 6-7 years ago and grandma last year. That 782 is my uncles who also bought it new. They. Both spent their lives in a garage . My uncle got tired of messing with and maintaining the 782 and bought a deere x485. The 782 does have the cat 0 three point on it tho. It will be for sale soon along with the Jacobsen.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
