I guess I should finally fess up. I sold my 104. The deere 300 will be coming into my garage shortly and I want to still have room in there.
Anyway I want to say thanks for everyone's help while I was rebuilding it. It would have been a lot harder without this sight. Hopefully one day I can snag up an original to redo and have as just a toy.

No doubt I will be back. I want to get an O or one of the tractors that have round fenders and restore it someday.
As far as selling the 104,well no one here can deny that the 300 is way more tractor (dual hydraulics, hydro trans, bigger engine, turning brakes, ect) than the 104 was. Plus it was free and was my Grandpas so I can't wait to get her all tuned up and running like a top like the 104 was.

I'll always be an IH guy and always think no matter what JD has been made or will be made it's not good enough for me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
