Lew his looks like the proper lock nut that they come with. Unless something else is wrong it should tighten up.

Just throwing this out there, technically you CAN get the cross arm out enough to replace the friction disk and bell washers but it is a major PITA and I wouldn't do it unless I absolutely had to. I'd think he could just tighten that nut up and be good. If he got 5-6 turns out of it already, someone had to have loosened it to begin with.

Well l got the nut and bell washers off { did not have to remove the plastic dash, just enough room to get the nut off . Had to carefully pry the plastic out about 1/2 an inch. The bell washers were put on backwards so they couldn't flex, and missing one too.

The parts break calls for 3 of # 736-3022 bell washer I only had 2 So Monday morning will have to order the correct parts and then will be back in business. thanks for all the help...

Got the parts today. yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee we got 4" of snow to play in ..... got the 1864 hydro all put back together, everything works as it should.

Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.
