I believe the early 982s came with a single brake pedal and duals were an option. I had a 982 parts tractor that had only one brake pedal. It was unaltered and original.
I think I am providing correct information but, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

I bought a 1864, it's just grown from there. The Cubs have replaced old Chevys as my hobby/passion. The only car I have left is a '67 Chevelle wagon.
Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

I'd second this; some 982's had the option of having dual brakes, wasn't standard on all of them. It may have been down the line but there are definitely stock 982's out there with a single brake pedal

Pic on this one showed external discs. Was the single brake internal for the one pedal and external on dual option?

Again I'm no 982 expert but I think all 982 had disc brakes and the duel pedals were an option. I'd send Oak and Cub123 a PM and ask them, I know they both have 982's.

I have had my share of 982's over the years and have seen them with single and dual brakes. I never paid attention to the serial numbers though. I'm just down to one 982 now and it has the dual brakes on it.
