Thanks guys. A big part of my decision was that it has the 20hp Kohler Magnum. Not to take anythng away from the Onan's but I've heard that parts are getting scarce and expensive, but they do sound good!

Junior - it was a Craigslist deal. My heart was pounding all day until I got the return phone call and hustled on down there.

Now you all take a look at my ad in the For Sale section and help me clear out some room for another one. I can't stop!

Rich, that haban looks very solid just some very light surface rust like mine. I'm currently restoring it. It looked just like yours when I started. Took my wife to the garage to show my progress and she couldnt believe how brand new it looks. If you repaint and need the decals, I can give you the info for the guy I got mine from.

Congratulations, nothing like a Super! It should have the stub PTO shaft sticking out of the rear of the hydro pump. That's standard on the supers. If it is extended to the rear frame cover plate and has a PTO switch then it the optional rear PTO.

Happy birthday, and congratulations on the 2072! That is my absolute FAVORITE Cub! Strong, good lines, and very capable machine. Enjoy!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
