Thanks everyone. I am going to whip up a pair of those flat stock extensions and call it a day. I'll post pics when I get them on.

Well rather than make brackets I decided to repurpose an old mule drive to perform the same job. I took everything off the mule drive that wasn't welded on and then bolted it on the tractor. I then put the subframe in position and raised it until it lined up with an existing pair of holes on the mule drive and bolted it there. It now hangs clear of the axle and looks like it will work fine. I did it in a hurry today because we are expecting snow. I will take some pics and let you guys know how it works. If I like it I will probably leave it on for the winter then take it off and paint it in spring. Thanks again to everyone for the help.

Good to hear you got it mounted. The way you did it is the way we have ours on our 102.

Glad you got it! I did it the same way, when I used the blade on my 100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
