A belt should never forced over the pulleys, hard on the pulleys and harder on the belt.
That said, sometimes you have to do what you have to do in a pinch, and later fix the adjustment so it goes easily. BTDT.

I'm having a hard time seeing it from here to be sure you have it properly installed. Pics would help.

Its on and working. I didnt see any adjustment for the for the auger belt. Its dark here now I did some but the tires were spinning on my garage floor but saw it in action was a good feeling to see it work finally. I lift mech popped apart and a sring fell out so I called it quits. Ill look into that tomorrow. Want to get some of the driveway cleared as I hear another storm could be heading my way next weekend.

You will need weights and chains with the snowblower. If memory serves me they had a weight bracket that attached to the rear frame on the 2000 series. Then the weights hung on that. Don't think they make wheel weights for the 2130 wheels but you can add some liquid inside the tires.

The weights are on . The chains seem to be missing something or just the wrong ones all together. How much of a difference could adding liquid to the tires make? I figured I weigh 240 lbs that would have helped some .

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
