Just want to be clear, we did not do the work on it. It was purchased as you see it.

My mistake! It's a beautiful purchase then! You do such a great job restoring your cub no one doubt you could have done it yourself!

Me and Nancy went out for a ride tonight, first real ride we took together since we got it. It was real cool, to sit behind the wheel, with the arm up on the door cruising through our little local town.
There were folks giving thumbs up, waving as we went by. Nancy was like, "who was that, what they waving at?"
Even roached a pretty good posi at the stop sign. It's been about 32 years since I did a good burnout at that stop sign. Brought back some memories from days gone by. And they say, you can't go back in time. Oh, I felt 21 all over again.

Thanks Beth, but I think Nancy would be driving that one, this old boy don't like roundabouts...

Todd,
Great talking with you today! A good BS session was long overdue! The car is gorgeous! It was a very good choice. Can't beat an old Chevy!

After reading through all the posts.... one thing I saw you mention was that you wanted some different tire/rims. You stated you want 15" rims. I understand why you want to go back to a more original size, but let me suggest at the least 16" tires. I don't know what it had on it originally, but I'm guessing it would have been either 14" or 16.5". 15" tires are becoming more obsolete. 17" and above is now the norm, but lots of things still do use the 16" tires. I'm afraid that if you go with 15", you already will be limited on tire choice, and may in the future have a hard time finding tires. Just like the 16.5" tires that Chevy used on their trucks for years... you can't hardly find anyone making a 16.5" tire anymore. 15's are on the way out too. Just a suggestion.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Best part IMHO, is the modern engine. It will start right up every time, no worries.

No Jon, there are plenty of 15"ers to be had over at Jeg's for one. I like the "more tire, less wheel" look. Just ain't into the hoopty look. Thinking 215/65/15 on the front, and 235/70 or 245/70 for the rear.
I hooked up with the Trifive forum, and there are a great bunch over there with years of experience in these Trifive's, and what will likely fit, and those were a couple options.
Haven't figured out wheels yet though, as far as backspacing and offset. I will need to do some measuring to see what one will work, being there were disc brakes installed.
Yeah, that was a good two day BS'er session, long overdue.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
