Yea that is what I've been thinking since Ive had it is a work light.But I would still like to know for sure and if its something CCSUPERMAN add what did it come off of maybe it will cover up those ugly holes.Thanks

exactly how i see it. i prefer john deere over cub but cub made a good machine. i just prefer green over yellow since ive had more luck with John Deere. more dependable, better resale, parts are still easy to get. allot of these John Deeres run the same engines the cub cadets do (kohlers and Onan) but when the engine isn't running right in one everyone assumes they are junk. if you take a look in the International Cub Cadet thread on this site, and count how many "i have a problem with my cub" threads there are, you'd be surprised. i used to think the same until i drove a John Deere 318 and a John Deere 140H3 (the 318 having the same engine the 982 does, and the 140H3 having the same engine the 147, 149 has) and i LOVED them. same with the farm tractors, don't like the IHs but love the John Deeres, compared them side by side, John Deere made the better product IN MY OPINION.

every machine has its weakness and every machine has its advantage. there is a reason why John Deere is still around today and IH is not.

i just scraped a john deere not to long ago. My big 1250 had to drag it around to up to our shop. The thing was going to cry.

Shaner...like you said, "IN MY OPINION". For me, I grew up on Farmall's and Cub Cadets. I don't have any interest in the green machines so I'll stick with my Cubs. I bet if you go to a Deere site there will be a section for people having problems with their machines too. The new Deere's are nice but over priced in my opinion.

Go to the rimfire central site. The guys post about having problems with Mark III pistols.

The readers do not respond to threads that say "my pistol shoots great".

The fact is people like to talk about their problems, so the high percentage of threads are started AND responded to, are problems, not threads that say "I don't have a problem".

I don't have a IH problem, now my nephew on the other hand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I like Upstate New York Ales !!! I made the cupholder in MY factory and added it as a personal option !! I spent many hours (and still do) on my Cubs . What better way to spend a Saturday getting a tan and killing a few brewskys and ridin a Super !!

And for the JD lovers , I've got this 400 down here just dying to trade it for another Super .....................Im just a diehard Cub fan I guess .

Go head and admit it .....................YOU WANT AN ADULT BEVERAGE HOLDER on that fender !!!!

Mine was stainless but a piece of pvc would work great also . (just size the ID to the OD of your favorite coolie cup)
