Thanks, Sam and Diz!!

Today, I moved the mower decks down to the barn for winter. Also cleaned up in front of the shed with the Super and cleaned up some sticks and whatnot and killed it with fire and adult beverages!

Finished putting a hydro fan on the 149 and decided to change the oil, then when filling the oil I hear something running on the ground, take a look and the aluminum oil pan has cracked around the drain plug So my oil change went from 10 minutes to 6 hours pulling the engine and swapping a cast iron oil pan, decided to pull the grenade gears while I was in there, they were pretty loose. It did make greasing the steering box easy though.

Ran out this morning , between the rain drops to get the Rebuilt Hydro Release valves back in. Buzzed Tug around the yard all all RPMs and speeds, reverse too.. Valves are all nice and dry. While some Covers were off I greased and oiled some of the linkage.
Thanks MACHTECH

Hydrostatic oil & filter change on the FIL's 2182 SGT today as well as my 2155. Even with the workshop heated up by the coal stoker and the oil warm it takes quite a while to ease all those quarts of oil into that skinny little fill hole on both tractors.

I don't think I'll be doing anything that requires patience the rest of the day!

I was hoping to change the engine oil & filters as well but ran out of time so I'll probably mess with that tonight since I left the stoker running.

Used the FEL again today, time to dig up the septic tank covers! It did better than I expected, the dirt was pretty hard with a lot of rocks, didn't even spin much.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
