I saw this for sale on CL
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/grd/2421866156.html

I was watching rfd tv the other night and saw a show about antique tractors, they had a piece on there about a guy in Canada back in the 50-60's that would take 2 tractors and hook them together. Both tractors had the front axles removed and built a hitch that hooked them up nose to tail. I think this was done before 4x4 tractors became popular and the driver was seated on the rear of the 2 tractor combo and somehow they made controls on it to operate the lead tractor. It articulated similar to modern 4x4 tractors, and they stated that combining the 2 actually more than doubled the individual tractors hp output, and was easier on fuel. I think the name of the show was called machinery of the past or something along those lines, it was a neat show.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I think i have even seen that same program. Love me some RFD!! I would really like to have a set of tractors hooked in tandem. Just love the concept. One day i will have a garden tractor hooked up like that. Here are some pics I found googling. Awesome Wheel Horse

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
