I got the kid's out and played some today. I finished installing the 3 pt. hitch on my 2072 yesterday. I was able to do this with the help of good CUB people. Steve, (aka Brim Reaper) put the rockshaft in my hitch plate that I got from Joe Allen (aka jallen). Both of these guy's are members of OCC. I also got the lower lift cat. 0 arms and the lift bar from Joe. I think it turned out pretty darn nice for around $65.00. I had to put some pic's on here for everyone. I plan to make another A frame sleve hitch adapter down the road, right now i'm just switching from the 1512 to the 2072. Here is a link to the rockshaft work. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=11522

Looks sweet! Im going to add something to the rear of my 1872. I have never seen the cat 3 hitch in person. If you get a chance can you get some closer pictures or a video maybe of how it works the lift rod is attached. I assume it must run up toward the front similar to a IH Cub Cadet sleeve hitch? I sold my 149 for the 1872 and I really miss not having the rear lift. My 147 is manual and it sucks, lol.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
