Default New to me 3205

I picked this one up on Sunday. It was purchased new in 99 and used for a short time and returned to the dealer. It sat at the dealer for years and some of the dash parts were removed. The dealer changed over to selling green tractors and it was given to the guy I purchased it from. As you can see in the pictures it looks new except for some missing parts and a broken part at the base of the steering column. Does anybody have any pictures of how the hood attaches and the hinge is installed. I downloaded the service manual but it doesn't show that. The guy also gave me an extra set of side panels, fender pan and a seat.

Thanks Jeff. I looked there but it didn't help much. I think I need an actual picture of how the hood hinge is attached. I have lots of loose parts but I'm not sure whats what.

Well I got it running Sunday and it runs great. Both valve covers are leaking oil and it looks like heat from the exhaust damaged the plastic covers. I tried to repair them tonight and will see tomorrow if it worked.
Where does this vacuum hose hook up to in the dash tower? I don't know if I'm missing something that it should hook up to. The other end goes to the E-vac actuator for the pto. If you suck on it, it will engage the pto. Is there some type of solenoid that I'm missing?

My 3235 has a small vacuum solenoid mounted just inside the right side engine cover on the firewall area. It has vacuum line from the engine and one that goes to the pto actuator. It also has 2 wires that go to it.

So that's what my 3205 looked like 12 years ago.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
