I struck a deal on an 800 just a few miles from my home yesterday. Appears to be all there and in pretty decent shape. Front tires are gone and the backs are not the best, but the exhaust sheild seems good, and the air cleaner is there. It has the larger starter installed. I believe it has a 38" deck under it. The guy also threw in another 38" and a 48". One thing I noticed is that the air cleaner backplate is blue?? (pic attached) Must have been replaced at some point. I also got a 129 the other day. It belonged to a friends grandfather, who had bought it new. Has brand new front tires, and is in pretty good condition. I have gotten it running already. I put on a few new ball joints last night and tightened up the steering box. Got the carb soaking to clean it out good. Something interesting on the deck, it has a discharge chute(picture attached). Is this a factory option. It doesn't look homemade.

That 129 is a true diamond in the rough. You can just see how nice it is underneath that layer of dust. Great scores on both counts.

Nice find on the 800!! Rare bird to say the least. That also looks like a nice and straight 129. The 129 is one of my favorites. First cub I learned to drive was Dad's 129. Congrats!!

Great haul!! I think that was the 800 that I posted on if it was listed on CL (??). Glad that both tractors now have a good home where they will receive the attention they need. Looks like your decks are in very nice shape as well from your pictures---I can't believe he had that many decks laying around with only 1 cub.
I'm not for sure about that chute, but it looks like it is out of solid stock worth straightening. Again, nice haul!!Cub Cadet 123

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
