Hello I have been pulling Cub Cadet tractors since I was 4 years old. Now that I am 36 and am a dad to an awesome 2 year old boy with another child on the way, I am tired of locating cubs, tearing them apart and using them for pulling. I am not going to quit pulling of course as I want to pass the sport on to my son and someday the second child being boy or a girl. But now I have decided to pursue a new hobby in redoing cub cadets. I have had at least one of most models including an original frame and body with trans that got hauled to the crusher by mistake, I was at work and was unable to retrieve it before the guy hauling our iron off our farm loaded it up. Now I find this website where a bunch of guys are crazy for their cub cadets AWESOME hopefully I can share the passion that is rebuilding, using, and enjoying these great little machines. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment I have had looking at pictures and reading threads about the International cub cadet. Matt

Welcome to OCC 800mrk... It's a fever for these cub's that never seems to end. Buying more helps, but the fever just gets worse.

Went a tractor pull tonight and low and behold there sits a 102 cub on a trailer with a for sale sign on it. No truck hooked to it just the cub on a trailer, called the number and it was a very nice older gentleman who was showing on of his tractors at the county fair earlier in the day and had gone home. He just needed to part with it cause he needed the room later and i was organizing my enclosed trailer with two pullers in it to make room for my new purchase. It has a rear lift and spring assist on it.003.jpg Loving this stuff!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
