PTO PROBLEMS
THOUGHT I TRIED EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN, BT HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME OUT. MY 3184 HAS A FAIRLY NEW PTO BELT, THE DECK YES IS SHAFT DRIVEN. BUT WHEN USING THE ON AND OFF PTO SWITCH ALOT, FOR BACKING AS SOME GRASS WAS MISSED,
WHEN I ENGAGE MY POWER TAKE OFF AGAIN, THE DARN BELT SLIDES SOMEHOW OFF AGAIN. IT SEEMS TO BE WHERE THE 2 LONG BOLTS LOCK AND HOLD IT, BELT FROM FALLING OF., BUT I CANNOT FIRGURE WERE IS IT COMING OFF, IS IT SPRING LOADED THENSION BAR THAT ACTS AS IDLER PULLEY WITH NOT ENOUGH STRENGHT? MY MAIN PULLEY IS A LITTLE LOOSE, BUT I DONT FIRGURE ENOUGH TO MAKE THIS SLIP OFF. THE BELT SEEMS RIGHT, GOT SAME STOCK NUMBER, ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED GUYS, THANKS, JOHN

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
