I replaced my 1210 that burned with a decent 682. I replaced all of the belts, changed the oil, etc. I mowed with it for the first time and it mows pretty well. I noticed some residual oil/dirt on the engine. It was smoking a little from the top of the block from getting warmed up. (Oil was burning off.) I let it cool down and degreased the engine and washed the whole tractor. (I like a clean mower.) I waited 2 or 3 hours to move it. It started up and i let it warm up to see if the smoke re-appeared. It didn't, so it is clean. I drove it into the shed and parked it. Now, 2 weeks later, I go to start it and it won't fire. It turns over all day long and you can smell the fuel it is getting. Just no fire. What should I look at? Thanks, Jason

First off, we need to know what engine is in it. 682/782's are notorious for having replacement engines in them. But my guess would be that your points are dirty if it has a KT17 engine. I would check to see if you have spark. If you don't, that would be the most likely culprit.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
