I've mounted my tiller box and was mounting my Brinly sleeve hitch when I ran into troubles. Now before I go do something stupid and cut or grind, what's the secret to getting my Brinly hitch to fit correctly? My hitch bracket is hitting the tiller box here as seen in the picture. I have tried the lower mounting holes and the upper holes, still hitting the bracket. Is there something I am overlooking? Or do I need to make some owner modifications? Any help is appreciated!!!
CaptMax Here is where it hits: ![]() I know it has been done before, like this one. ![]()

Max you can put some extensions on your sleeve hitch or buy a sleeve hitch that will clear the gear box. I've been Lucky and have two that will clear the gear box.
Heres a link with pics of the extensions. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8474 |

Thanks Duke!
I had no idea there was such a thing as extensions for a sleeve hitch. Now why didn't I think of that? ![]() ![]() Now does anyone here have a set of those extensions they want to sell? ![]() CaptMax

I think you will also have to have an extended lift pin when using the hitch, and the standard pin for lifting the tiller.

Well I got it!!
![]() I almost forgot about the custom stainless steel hitch I bought from a member here on the forum. It fit like a charm!!! Thanks again guys, here are some fresh pictures for you to see. I also wondered if there was any easier way to fill my rear end back up with Hytran that I lost while mounting the gear box? That plug in the rear is really buried behind the gear box!!! ![]() CaptMax ![]() ![]()

Thanks DX3, I did use a syringe and hose last time. I kinda figured I could unbolt the gear box and just swing it out of the way a bit. Thanks again for all the help!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
