Five years ago (when I bought this house) I purchased a pole barn kit only to find that the township had ridiculous ordinances for outbuildings.
I pretty much gave up on building the kit when the price of the permit/variance/crookedpoliticianpayoff was more than the kit itself. Mid summer I stopped at the township and found that they've changed some of the ordinances allowing me to build 3/4 of my original kit without a variance. Couple weekends later the ol cubs no longer need to stay in the shack! ![]() Now they have room to play ![]() ![]() Ended up a 30x30x12, really wish I could of put the entire 30x40 up. I'm already out of space, now lets just pray the weather holds out for the floor pour. |

Plans for the inside are to stuff it full of what I have then bump it out twenty more feet for the stuff I'm getting!
Most of my tools are stuffed in my basement, fathers pole barn, and buddy's garage at the moment. After emptying those places I hope to have room for a 2 post lift. |

Nice looking pole barn. A word to the wise put the concrete down now or it will never get done. BTDT Unless you have ordinances that state otherwise. Once they get full you will never want to empty it to put down concrete. Wish I would have done mine when I built it.

Only chose "greene" to hide it from prying eyes. You literally cannot see it from the road, or my own back porch for that matter.
cubs-n-bxrs, I'm praying the weather holds out to get the floor in asap! I need another load of fill to finish grading but it keeps raining, my wife's already upset about the tri-axle ruts in the yard... ![]() |

Also put plenty of plastic pipe under the floor.
Although I have not used most of it, I put in pipe to run: Water sewer propane electricity to several locations cable for the TV ![]() I have used most of the pipe for the electricity, it makes the shop super neat having the services under the concrete. As time allows, it is easy to snake in new services, the PVC pipe is cheap now!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
