Default 149 PTO

I just rebuilt my PTO for my 149. I went with factory specs and the PTO gauge they send with the kit. I got it installed and now the PTO wont disengage. .Is the gauge wrong that came with the kit? Did any of you come across this problem before?

if you set it correctly with the gauge it all should work, i had one i bought that was rebuilt and it did not want to disengage, i started the tractor and put it at 1/2-3/4 throttle and with the arm pushing the button in i whacked a couple of times and it broke loose, but that one had doubled pad's in it and had been setting on the shelf for over 6 months.

when it was apart did you change the bearing? any one else has any ideas chime in here. i know there are at least 2 kits for breaked and non breaked PTO's

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
