You are looking at a Quiet Line series, the series known for ISO mounts that usually are bad if they are original. Not a big issue, but the motor has to be removed to fix them, and if they are bad, more than likely the Drive line, "drive shaft, bushings and flex discs will need replaced too. If the motor can be moved around by hand side to side the ISO's are shot. More than likely you will have to repair the trunion on the hydro, not a bad thing if you can weld or have a buddy than can. With these minor issues fixed, they are great tractors just like the others. Also there is a mod called a cradle mod. Do it while the motor is out, it will reduce the ISO deterioration problem.
Here is a list of links you will need to visit and download. Not to be a wise guy, but your signature line shows you own a 1250...
So you know the in's and out's of the series. Take your 1250 and put a 14hp in it, add a hydraulic lift to replace your manual one, and you've got a 1450. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
