|
i got a 127 about a week ago, and everything looks good except the valves right on top of the pump are froze up. then i got them to go down but their still stuck. any answers or suggestions

I had the exact same problem with one of my 129's. For a couple of days, soak them in PB Blaster. Next: FOR SAFETY: USE JACK STANDS FOR THE REAR AXLES! Jack up the rearend and turn the tractor on. Using a wooden dowel rod or something similar that will not mar the tops, tap on them using a hammer and the wooden dowel. Adjust it from forward to reverse several times (this is why you use the jack stands). Repeat if needed using PB Blaster on occassion to add extra lubricant. Eventually, they should free up. If not, then you can always remove them and try to pop them out or replace them.

Once you get them up, clean off the rust with some emery cloth and put a bit of oil on each one. Make sure they move freely so they don't get stuck again.

ok i got my valves freed up and one staps back, the other slowly comes back but not all the way. like 90% back. im just wondering which one is good or if both are good or bad.

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying here - but if you have a valve that is sticky you'll want to go ahead and pull it out and really clean that shaft (or replace it if necessary) and check the guide as well. It could need to be reamed or replaced.

Is this on the 127? Hydro valves? I played with mine a lot. I used blaster on them then took a strong magnet and pushed and pulled these up and down many times. Seemed to work for now. I did not add the feature to push them down with the lever, was afraid it might stay down. Regards, Chris
