now i got a question abou my rake?
The landscape rake I just picked up, came with 2, about 11" springs. Yhey are on the parts list page but the PO had no idea what they are for. I posted some pictures of what i might think there for.
PICTURE1 the springs PICTURE2 do they go like this for like a spring assist? PICTURE3 the one hook on the end of the spring is kind of like a circle and if it is like a spring assist like in picture 2 it would go on that bolt i think?

On the Cub site they're called "lifting springs". It looks like one per side. One end of the spring attaches to the main assembly and the hook end of the spring attaches to the "spring attaching angle, (#11)" of which there is one per side. Here's the drawing:

Why would IH call them "lifting springs" if they provide down pressure?
Quoting from the Operators Manual "It is raised and lowered by the tractor lift lever in conjuction with two lifting springs."
