Eventually I plan to buy and install a Cat-0 three-point on one of my tractors. I have a 682 and a 1650.
One tractor will end up as a bucket/backhoe tractor (PF Engineering plans), while the other will end up as the mower, blade, plow, etc tractor. The 682 is, of course, manual lift tractor, great for mowing because of the fixed levels for the deck. The 1650 has a hydraulic lift for the mowing deck, but I don't have the three-point assembly for it. Since I'm going to have to spend some money to go either way, I'm opening it up for discussion. Which would you put the bucket/backhoe on and which would you put the Cat-0 three-point on...and why? Right now, I'm thinking the 1650 will end up the mower/Cat-0 lift tractor, and the 682 will end up the bucket/backhoe tractor. Why? Because I'll have to put a hydraulic pump on the bucket/backhoe tractor, so it won't need a ported hydro pump on the trans. The 1650 has the ported hydro pump already, so I just need to add the Cat-0 lift and maybe front and rear ports. Make sense?

I think that would be the best way, I'm gettin good and ready to order some goodies for my 1811, cat.0, sleeve hitch adapter, front ports, among other things. Many people are very pleased with the extream motorworks three points, and I figure for the difference in price between a normal sleeve hitch and the cat. 0 having the ability to run either is worth it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
