I had a no-start problem, traced it to the fuse that is next to the battery, just a red and black wire terminating in a fuse block. I have a 30 amp fuse in it, just read in the 2086 thread that this should be 20 amp. The fuse was powering the starter circuit, but when I wiggled it I seem to have powered up the ignition circuit as well (doesn't make sense, but I saw it happen!). Started right up after that, but the fuse block got very hot, though the 2 wires stayed cool.
So, not sure why that would heat up that much once running. I plan to put a 20 amp fuse in and see if it holds. The 2nd thing was oil dripping out of the breather hose at the carb while running, a drop every few seconds. I feel like I just read about this somewhere here but can't remember the cause, or fix.

YES, the correct fuse for your model is a 20 Amp fuse.
This fuse protects the entire electrical system except the Starter Circuit (Battery to Starter). Quote:

Thanks for the comments Roland. I'll look for shorts though I'd think any short would take out the fuse. Then I think I'll do the following: First, replace the fuse with a 20 amp and see if it holds. Next, replace the fuse block itself with a new one, I had to wiggle the fuse when I re-inserted it to get power so maybe the heat is just the block itself not making solid connection.
Any idea why the breather is pushing out oil? I searched a bit more here, saw the comments on checking for blockage and vacuum, but how could I have vacuum if it's pushing oil out? I don't appear to have much blowby at the oil filler cap or dipstick. By the way, even with the dripping oil, the tractor runs very well.
