I would pass on that tractor. That price is a little on the stiff side if you were to ask me. I would give him maybe about half that price.

I'm in total agreement with Kelly. It's priced too high.

Yep, there is another good deal we get here in the south. In PA that is probably a $200 tractor.

If the motor was actually completely rebuilt by a shop I wouldn't doubt they threw $900 in parts and labor into the motor if it were bored, valves done, new Kohler parts, and labor. Usually though people's definition of a rebuilt motor on craigslist is a new rod when one broke or new rings. Still, you can buy 3 running/cutting tractors around here for that price. Sadly with this economy, a nicely repainted Cub probably wouldn't bring that.

Been thinking of taking a look at this 126, reasonably priced. I agree with everyone, the one you're looking at is priced way too high.

You will have $500 to $750 in the motor alone is it was done right.
I would look at it.
Hopefully the seller has paperwork to prove what he did.

Everyone thanks for your opinions! I have something that may sound a little odd. Me and my dad actually own the tractor. A complete replacement engine was put in it several years ago that cost $700. It also has almost brand new tires on all four corners (carlsile). Never the less, when I posted this on cl, I though the price that my dad wanted was a little high.

You should come down and see us sometime. Bring you dad with you. The more the merrier. PM for more info if you want.

Good luck at selling the Cub. And dont forget to check out the Plow Day event listed in my Signature. It would be great if yall could make that too!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
