I have a CC127 (scrap yard save) that I have had to do alot of work on just to get to the starting part. My question is, when starting the K301, it is blowing the dipstick part of the way out of the tube. Does anyone have and ideas/suggestions on what maybe causing this? Any help will greatly appreciated and Thank you for your time.

The rubber seal on the dipstick could be worn out, or the engine has a lot of blow by.

take your breather apart it may be pluged ,or the reed plate may be broke, besure you mark all the parts as they come out ,,there is a very small hole in the plate next to the block ,that goes to the bottom ,

Thank you guys for your replies. I though, when I rebuilt the carb. that I pulled the breather ass'y and replace the filter, but maybe not. I will pull it again and check it. The rubber gasket does not fit very tight in the tube, it is actually pushing the dipstick up thru the rubber gasket. I barrowed a leak down tester and going to run the test is PM. Thank you again for the replies. Don B.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
