Default local cub dealer

I went to my local Cub dealer about 30-40 miles away actually this week for steering parts for my 1450. They are well know here in Mid MI area. They have been a CC dealer since 1961 and have the plaques from CC to prove it. I love the fact they have been owned by the same family since the beginning and they still stock parts for old Cubs and they are very knowledgeable. Also when you walk in they have a restored Original in the show room complete with umbrella, sleeve hitch, and ags. and next to it is a un-restored spirit of 76 they sold originally and don't look half bad unrestored.

Thats neat, we got a local dealer here also thats been open since the start. Sadly they dont have anything like that in the showroom but i was talking with an older gentleman that was part of the family and he was telling me of remembering seeing a new original on the floor when they came out and pretty much every model he was there to see when it came out.

NO....I live out in the "thumb" area but I have been there to buy parts. AND, I agree with your assessment. If I lived closer to him, he would be my dealer. GOOD place.

URL.......... Gene's

I live in Auburn. I love the fact that if you have a question, they gladly have a answer out at Gene's, and they also love the older cubs.

Aldermans in Lennon Michigan is the same way, restored Old Cub in the showroom, good people to deal with. I am always suprized at the parts they have in stock for my 782.

Last time I was there, I took (3) of my grandsons with me, (ages 4 to 7). Those boys climbed on every tractor there (and thats a lot of tractors), the staff just smiled and laughed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
