I am trying to put a 48" square end deck on my 149 I dont think I have the correct hanger braket for this deck. The hangers I have are from 44A/c decks and have curved down rear arms. Should these be striaght arms? Next question is will a deck hanger from a narrow frame tractor attach to my wide frame mule drive and work with the rest of the tractor?
Thanks for any help Wally

Wally, yes, they should be straight arms on the mule drive. (i believe that's what you mean when you say hangers) And no, a mule drive from a NF will not fit a WF. Actually, the front of the mule drive, the hanger assembly, from a NF will not fit a WF. A good pic of the mule drive you need can be found on the cub cadet website, parts lookup. You're looking for the hitch quick attachment for a 149 models numbered 400,001 to 529,999. That will give you a good idea what you need. I included a link, but not sure if it will save the info for you to view it. http://www.cubcadet.com/webapp/wcs/s...A/040075600006

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
