This is my Cub Cadet 1811 Hydro. I love this tractor. I had been wanting one for a long time and a old neighbor was selling one and my parents bought it as a gift for my birthday last year. The body and paint work is a little rough, but she runs like a top. Only major thing I had to do was remove the electric pto clutch as a bearing was bad. As I only use her for pushing snow I have not installed a new PTO Clutch. I put chains on her and the snow blade. Had lots of fun last winter pushing snow in the neighborhood. Look forward to it this year.

Krisb,
I have to agree, I picked up an 1811 with a 46'' deck, snowblower, and a snow/dirt blade that I don't think was ever mounted on the tractor.I got it with the famous blown governor/trashed cam problem. The engine case turned out to be good so I took a chance on a used cam and put it back together .I've been useing it all summer as my main mower and gotta say it's been a great machine and I hope it blows snow as well as it cuts grass. Quick pic of it when it got home and of the cam that came out. Bob |

I would love to have the snow blower for this. I have seen a few come up for sale but never when I got money burning a hole in my pocket. I have a extra blade, but its not a trip blade so I would not want to use it for pushing snow unless I had to. My 1811 came with the bagging kit too. I keep thinking about putting a new clutch on so I can use it to bag leaves in the fall, but I dont really want to put more hours on the clock then I have too.
I also would love to park a Cub 782 next to my 1811. Would be cool to own both red and yellow Cubs. Again I see them come and go for sale but never when I got money burning a hole in my pocket. |

Krisb that 1811 looks good for original paint. You probably only need to replace the pto bearing, not the whole clutch.

Great Looking CCC! I have a 1211 and absolutely love it. My 50" deck seems to push the 12hp to the limit at times, but she really loves to move the snow!
Nice tractor you have there! Here are a couple pics of mine.. Jeff (teet) ![]()

Teet that is a really nice looking 1211. I take it you restored the blade or has it just never been used? It looks awesome. I saw on another site a guy re-engined his 782 with this engine Its a 24 Horse Honda http://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/...GX670-Cub-1811 Im not sure if it will bolt into your 1211 but thought I might as well show you. Nothing like doubling your horse power

I had seen that re-power before, as well as one that Jims repair does as well (link below), but man, seems like a huge chunk of change! I could probably pick up super for the price of a repower! Still pretty cool though. http://www.jimsrepairjimstractors.co...det-mowers.htm Ive often thought about picking up a small kubota diesel engine to try and stuff in the 1211. I have a 122 roller that I was thinking about throwing a single cylinder diesel in to play with... Jeff (teet) |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
