It's brand new.... .05 hours. I've priced them on the web before, but never actually talked to a dealer. Drove by the other day and stopped and started talking, the guy said let me give you a quote just for giggles.... Well, I giggled when I saw it. Came home did my best "please, honey, love you, love you" for a couple days and brought it home last night!

thanks guys, Sam, I don't consider it the dark side unless it has green paint! Not much difference in Cub and Kub if you say it fast enough! Besides, I think there are some Cubs with kubota engines......

Duke, I actually had found a SGT at a dealer about an hour away, he "only" wanted $4500 for it with a cracked side panel..... I think that helped give Kristy the motivation to say.... get something new.

Gary, you will love that Kubota. I've had mine for 11 years, put about 1100 hours on it and it has never broke down. It has the original fluids from the the engine back (probably not recomended) and the original belts on the deck. I've cut grass knee high with the belly mower and it never missed a beat. If you look at what a 1772 cost in 1989 and what 4 wheel drive Kubota cost today, the Kubota is a lot cheaper and 4 times the machine. Congrats bud!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
